The Museum of Mountain Ecology and Nature History in the Carpathians is a unique place that has no analogs in Ukraine. The museum was established in the mid-1990s based on a local biosphere reserve and is the only complex whose activities are aimed at solving environmental problems in the region.

Visiting the museum, you will be surprised by the harmonious design as most of the design and artwork was done by a group of talented artists from Kyiv. The formation of expositions continues to this day, which arouses additional interest from tourists for whom this museum has become a favorite place in the Rakhiv region.

Why should you visit the Museum of Mountain Ecology of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve (Rakhiv)?

The museum's exposition includes two sections. The first section entitled "Nature of the Carpathians" includes historical data on the Carpathian mountains, their geomorphology, and geology. This museum will tell you about all the features of the diverse landscape of the Carpathian mountains, the richness of flora and fauna. You will also see bright representatives of the fauna and a unique model of the mountain drain of the Carpathians, which was formed over the centuries.

The second section of the exhibition "Nature Management in the Ukrainian Carpathians" covers a significant historical period, from the stage of colonization (about 20 thousand years ago) to the present time. Here is the originality and uniqueness of the traditions of the living people, embodied in picturesque panoramas and dioramas, complemented by ethnographic components of antiquity.
